Who We Are

The staff at International Student and Scholar Services are dedicated to working with the international population at Portland State University. From student workers to advisors, we feel that our role at International Student and Scholar Services is one of advocacy and support for the students we serve. Each staff member at ISSS has lived abroad and intimately understands the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and language. Advisors are available for international students and their dependents every afternoon, Monday through Friday, for any type of question or concern, be it personal or immigration-related. We are proud to have the opportunity to work with such a large and diverse international population at PSU and are committed to providing students with a guide through the maze of US immigration law and intercultural adjustment.

Walk-in Advising Hours for International Students

The international student advisors are available to see students on a walk-in basis on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1-4pm. If you would like to talk to one of the advisors, please stop by 101 East Hall during these hours.
