Student Groups

SALP (Student Activities and Leadership Program) is the organization that all student organizations are a part of. For a lid of all student groups visit the SALP page.

Organization of International Students

The Organization of International Students provides international, cultural, educational, and social events to enhance the campus experience of PSU students, and to facilitate the community and interaction between the University and the Greater Portland International Community.

International Student Mentor Program

Portland State University is proud of its International Student Peer Mentor Program (ISMP). The program’s task is to assist you, new international students, in the transition from your respective countries to our university.  The transition from one country to another is often complicated and frustrating and this program is designed to smooth out this process.  When you sign up for International Student Orientation you will be contacted by a peer mentor who can answer initial questions about PSU and Portland.  If you are interested in being matched with a mentor to meet with during your first term at PSU, please go to the ISMP website at www.ismp.oia.pdx.edu and look at the guidelines and responsibilities of joining the International Student Peer Mentor Program and apply online for a mentor or you can apply at  International Student Orientation.
