J1 Students - Travel

Dependents or Visiting Relatives

In order for you to bring immediate family members (wife, husband and/or children) to the U.S., you must document sufficient financial resources to adequately support their stay. Once we have financial verification, an DS-2019 form can be issued for their travel to the U.S.

Note: Obtaining a J-2 visa in your home country depends upon the political relations between the U.S. government and your home country's government. ISSS cannot guarantee that the appropriate visas will be issued to your family.
