NOTE: It is your responsibility to know and abide by the regulations that apply to you. Immigration Regulations often change. It is strongly recommended that you consult with ISSS for the most up-to-date information regarding your immigration questions. Please realize that while your immigration situation may appear to you as being the same as a friend's, it may not be.

These pages contain information in helping you maintain your status as a full time international student at PSU. Should you have any further questions, please consult with the Office of International Students Services for clarification.

Checking in with International Student and Scholar Services

You must also check in with the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) in East Hall, Room 101 (EH 101), 503-725-4094, within the first two weeks of class.

If you have not already met with someone in ISSS, you need to do so within the first 2 weeks of classes. It is important that you bring your immigration documentation so we can be sure it is on file. DHS requires this by law. You need bring the following to ISSS:

  • your passport;
  • your I-94 card (the small white card in your passport or attached to your I-20);
  • your form I-20 (for F-1 students) or DS-2019 (for J-1 students).
