Financial Aid:
Q: Am I eligible for Financial Aid?
A: International Students are not eligible for Financial Aid,
but several Scholarships are available. These are: the International
Cultural Service Program (ICSP), the International Student Scholarship
(ISS), and the Keith Morden Memorial Scholarship.

Housing:
Q: Where can I find housing in Portland?
A: Information on housing in Portland can be found here.
Employment:
Q: Am I eligible to work on-campus?
A: Full time, non-ESL-restricted students are eligible for On-Campus Work
Authorization, which allows employment in most departments on the PSU campus.
This authorization is available at International Student and Scholar Services
by filling out a Student
Request Form. (This form must be printed out and brought in to ISSS,
it is not an electronic request form.)
Please meet with an International Student Adviser
at ISSS to discuss your specific situation and your eligibility to work
on-campus.
Q: How many hours can I work per week?
A: During your three-term academic year, your On-Campus Work Authorization
allows you to work up to 20 hours per week. Full time work is allowed
during your vacation term.

Q: Can I work off-campus?
A: After nine consecutive months of full-time study at PSU, you
may apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT), which allows you
to work off-campus and earn academic credit hours that apply toward
your graduation. (CPT is available to students with F-1 visa status.)

off-campus.
Q: When can I apply for Optional Practical Training?
A: F-1 visa students who have been enrolled in classes full-time for at
least nine consecutive months may apply for Optional Practical Training. However,
if you intend to begin OPT immediately after your graduation, applications should
be filed through ISSS three months before you finish your coursework at PSU.
The application process can take anywhere from four to twelve weeks.

Other:
Q: How do I Get an Apostille or Authentication of my Transcript?
A: When a document is to go to a foreign country, it is often necessary
to have the notarization or official certification authenticated. Some countries
call this an apostille. The Oregon Secretary of State can certify to Oregon
notaries public and the State Registrar for vital records (Oregon Center for
Health Statistics). The procedures are outlined below. It normally takes two
(2) to three (3) days to process a request. For complete instuctions, see
