Students who participated in PSU Education Abroad programs during the 2006-07 academic year were invited to submit their top 3 photos to the 2007 International Photo Contest. The three photos (above), were judged as the top winners in this year's contest. Winning photos will be on display in the All University Display case in Smith Memorial Union, 1st floor (near the Viking Food Court) during the week of November 12th, 2007.
Criteria
1. Students can submit up to 3 photos. Submit a title, location (city & country), and short caption (less than 50 words) which relates to each photo.
2. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Photos must be at least 300 dpi. Photos can be emailed to: pdx03765@pdx.edu
3. The deadline for all contest entries is 5 PM on Friday, October 26, 2007. No photos accepted after the deadline.
4. Photographs will be judged on a range of the following elements, by a panel of judges: creativity/composition, creative use of color, photos that show a history, photos that show interaction between cultures, photos that tell a story, emotional impact.
5. Submission of photograph into contest gives PSU Office of International Affairs permission to include photo(s) in future publications.
Prizes
1st Place: 2 night package for two, at the Mark Spencer Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon
2nd Place: 2 tickets to Portland Opera's "Rodelinda"
3rd Place: Oregon Photo & Digital gift certificate for image transfer to CD or DVD
